WELCOME EDUCATORS, MENTORS & LEADERS
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men. - Frederick Douglass
Our Story & Mission
Formed in 2013, by a group of African-American male educators to lead a new generation in the Louisiana education landscape.

The Alliance for Diversity & Excellence
(ADE) was formed in 2013 by a group of African-American male educators and headed by Jamar McKneely, a pioneer in the Louisiana education landscape. With a mission to increase and improve the diversity and excellence in school leadership, the men rolled up their sleeves and diligently worked to develop an organization that would create an increased pipeline of educational leaders of color, build support for charter schools in urban communities, and share best practices for closing the academic achievement gap.
